Trilha sonora

Se vida tivesse trilha sonora... O fato é que tem. Embora a cena cotidiana da nossa existência não passe em slow motion, muitas vezes uma canção acompanha toda a ação (ou ausência dela).
A música varia, mas está lá.

Ultimamente, não uma, mas uma coleção de canções tem sido o acompanhamento musical dos meus devaneios e perambulações: Ukelele Songs, do Eddie Vedder.
Lançado em 2011, o álbum reúne músicas tocadas no ukelele, instrumento havaiano de quatro cordas. E a verdade é que outros instrumentos acabam não fazendo falta. A sonoridade simples e suave ressalta a beleza de letras e melodias, que tocam a alma e os sentidos de leve, como um carinho bom. As letras ácidas e pungentes do Pearl Jam dão lugar a canções de amor.

Ukelele Songs é o segundo trabalho solo de Vedder, após Into the Wild, trilha sonora para o filme "Na natureza selvagem" (falei um pouco sobre essa trilha aqui).  O álbum conta com a participação de Glen Hansard (The Frames e Swell Season) na faixa "Sleepless nights", e Cat Power em "Tonight you belong to me". Outras faixas incluem versões para "Can't keep" (Pearl Jam) e "Dream a little dream", além de composições inéditas de Vedder.
